APOSTOLIC & PROPHETIC
Why We Are Apostolic/Prophetic
"Apostolic" describes what apostle's release to the church: by receiving the teachings and ministries of apostles, churches and believers become apostolic. One cannot be genuinely apostolic if one rejects the ministry of the apostle. "Prophetic" is a word used to describe what prophets' release to the church: personal prophecy corporate prophecy, prophetic teaching, and preaching.
Apostles and Prophets are linked together more than any other two ministries in the New Testament. They are both foundational gifts. Apostles and Prophets form powerful teams to bring upgrade, revelation impartation, in different regions and territories. The Lord is restoring these two ministries and now they are more apostles and prophets than at any other time in church history.
Apostolic and Prophetic ministry is the very key to breakthrough and expansion for establishing churches, and to guarding and protecting the churches. Apostolic - Prophetic leaders are necessary to guide the church through crucial times and challenges.
The wisdom of apostles and prophets can be seen throughout the book of Acts. The ability to persevere through persecution and suffering is another predominant feature of apostolic-prophetic ministry. The title ACTS summarizes the role of the apostolic-prophetic ministry; therefore apostles and prophets and apostolic and prophetic people don't just talk, they ACT because they are empowered by the Holy Spirit to perform supernatural acts!
Jesus said in Luke 11: 49, "I will send you Apostles and Prophets…"
I Corinthians 12: 28 "God has in appointed in the church, first Apostles, second Prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then the gift of healings, helps, administration, and various kinds of tongues.
The Church must fully receive the ministry gift of the Apostle and Prophet enabling the supernatural power of God to be released in a greater dimension to perform miracles, heal bodies and build effective churches.
Ephesians 2: 20 – 21"Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the chief cornerstone, In whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord.
The apostle and the prophets are the foundations of the church; to equip, build, fit together and for the growth of the believers into a mature and lacking nothing mighty in power and demonstration.
